Bananas & Doughnuts Framework
We believe mental health does not have to be complicated. That is why we created the Bananas and Doughnuts Framework, a simple, practical way to understand how our daily choices affect how we feel.
Bananas represent positive, healthy actions that help us feel good, like talking to someone we trust, getting enough rest, or taking time to do things we enjoy. Doughnuts on the other hand symbolise unhelpful habits and behaviours that make us feel worse over time, such as avoiding problems, negative self-talk, or unhealthy coping strategies. Just like too many doughnuts can leave us feeling sluggish, too many negative habits can drain our energy and well-being.

Bananas

Bananas are the small, positive choices that make a big difference to your mental health. Talking to someone you trust, getting enough sleep, moving your body, and taking time for things you enjoy all help you feel stronger and happier. The more bananas you have, the better you feel.
Doughnuts

Doughnuts are the habits that might feel comforting at the moment but leave you feeling worse over time. Avoiding problems, negative self-talk, lack of rest, and unhealthy coping strategies can drain your energy and well-being. The more we recognise these patterns, the easier it becomes to make a change.
Banana and Doughnuts Together

Bananas and Doughnuts help you make better choices and feel stronger. When you choose to do less of the things that aren’t good for you, like negative self-talk or procrastinating, you can feel happier and have more fun. You’ll worry less and be able to do the things you love with more energy. Together, they help you be your best and feel your best!
