How to Access Support for Your Child

If you are a parent of a child under the age of 8 who is struggling, we understand that finding the right support can feel overwhelming. We simplify the process to ensure your child receives the help they need quickly and with as little stress as possible.

There are two ways to arrange sessions for your child:

Self-Referral

If you prefer to organise support for your child yourself, you can self-refer through our external portal. There is a £30 contribution per session to help cover the cost, ensuring your child receives high-quality, personalised support when they need it. This option is great for parents who want a direct and immediate route to mental health support for their child.

External Referral

If your child’s school, GP, or local authority refers them to our services, their sessions will be free (unless you'd like to donate). We work closely with these organisations to make sure children and young people can access support without financial barriers. If you believe your child needs help, speak to their school, doctor, or local authority about making a referral to Arthur Ellis.

If you have been referred, we will reach out to you.

What Happens Next?

Once a referral is made either through an external organisation or self-referral our team will reach out to discuss the next steps. If you're self-referring, please use the buttons above.

We focus on practical, real-world guidance that helps children and young people manage their emotions, build resilience, and feel more in control of their mental health. Whether they are struggling with anxiety, low mood, confidence, or other challenges, we are here to help them feel supported, valued and heard.

If you are unsure about which option is best for your child, we are happy to guide you through the process. Our goal is to make sure every child gets the help they need when they need it most. Please contact us for more support.

Your Privacy and Confidentiality Matter

We understand that reaching out for mental health support is a big step, and we want you to feel safe and secure throughout the process. Any information you provide during the self-referral process is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and protected under data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Your personal details will only be used to arrange your support and will never be shared without your consent. The only exception is if we believe there is a serious risk to your safety or the safety of others, in which case we may need to share information with the appropriate services to keep you safe.

At Arthur Ellis, your privacy is our priority. You can take this step with confidence, knowing that your information is secure, respected, and handled with the utmost care.
