Our Award-Winning Summer Festival

Jun 30, 2026

Last night was the MK Charity Awards 2026, hosted by MK Community Foundation, which ran in tandem with the foundationsโ€™ fabulous 40th ๐ŸŽˆ a night to celebrate community organisations and companies championing social responsibility in order to make the lives of local people, great!

Our charity was nominated for two awards; the Wellbeing award, and the Equity & Inclusion award. The latter was also in memory of Ranjit Singh, who has given a lasting legacy of philanthropic compassion and excellence to our communities for many, many years.

Congratulations to MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs Advancement Project) ๐Ÿฅ‚ who deservedly won the Wellbeing award by inspiring their beneficiaries to champion both their physical and mental health, with lasting impact. Andโ€ฆ

We are so unbelievably proud of our festival and the reason for our nomination in this category was that it is for absolutely everyone - no matter your age, race, background, wealth, health, ability, we have something for you.

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ The event is free to attend and all activities are at no cost,
๐ŸŒญ Hot food is provided to break down poverty barriers,
๐ŸŽง A SEND area is on site for those with additional needs or who may need a sensory break,
๐Ÿผ MumPod Company Limited is with us for those breastfeeding or with young children who need privacy for a feed or nappy change,
โ›ณ๏ธ There are activities for all ages and capabilities.

We truly believe wellbeing can be, should be and ๐ข๐ฌ for everyone, and to win the award for this purpose just inspires us to continue to make our festival bigger, better and more inclusive year on year. Coming 23 August, Great Linford Manor Park at 12pm ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

Thank you to the MK Community Foundation for recognising this, to The Stables MK for being a wonderful host, and to Milton Keynes College Group in presenting the award to our team. A true privilege to have also won in memory of Ranjit.

I'm sure it's no surprise to you that since the pandemic, those accessing our services has increased by 806%, and this figure continues to rise.  Adapting to support the most vulnerable in our community is needed and as ever, we are grateful for your support in partnering with us to achieve this.

This change brings us one step closer to achieving our mission - to help the estimated 1.7 million people across the UK who struggle to access support, without long waits or high thresholds.

Weโ€™re committed to making prioritizing mental health as effortless and effective for you as possible. If any other questions come up, please donโ€™t hesitate to reach out!
